    Hi Guys,

I'm a software engineering student in AIT who is crap at maths. I'm only at it 3 days but I'm already losing sleep over it.

Does anyone know where to even look to find someone who might be able to help? I've tried several approaches but I haven't found anyone yet.

It's things like transposition of formulae, trigonometry and so on. I'd really appreciate any information.

    Hi Rob
First: don't panic. Seriously, everyone I know felt the same way but you'll settle down fast and get to grips quickly.
BTW, I'm a fourth year AIT student (not software but in Engineering) and this is what you can do:
*Each class/student is allocated a tutor who an allocate extra time for them if they need it. For us, we asked and got an extra hour (look at your timetable, see what free time you have and ask if you can use time to talk to the assigned tutor where they will explain in depth any questions you have. For us, I brought along sample questions and he "step-by-step" explained what to do to solve it.)
This is the official AIT list of support tutors (we had Joe Keogh):

*Who is your Math tutor? College starts next week and all you need to do is email/talk to whoever they are and ask for advice/help. You'll get the usual line of "you'll be fine" but by making the contact now, you can reduce your stress knowing you have that option already warmed up.
This is a list of tutors and their contact details:

If you have any questions, PM me and I'll see what else I can do.
    Paul
