Stihl HS-45 won't start

I have a Stihl HS 45 that I put a new short block into, put flywheel on (only one possible way to put it on) and ignition coil. Spark plug is the exact same they specify in the manual, carb opened to standard settings but each time I try to start it kicks back as if the ignition timing is way too far back but there is nothing to adjust it on these yokes.

Any ideas as to what could be wrong?

Have you checked that the flywheel hasn't spun on the crank?
If it was a tiny bit loose it will shear the woodruff key and the timing will be out.

You might be better enquiring on the gardening thread, but it would be worth looking at the magneto gap. I had a strimmer that wouldn't start and that is what it needed to revive it.
