Has anyone watched this new series tonight on Sky Atlantic. Starring Dominic Monaghan, set in Sweden. It kind of reminded me of The Fall.

The first episode was really good in my opinion. Gripping stuff.

Watched about 20 minutes of it, couldn't stand any more.

Yet another <serial killer bumping off young women in artfully creepy ways for no rational reason> storyline, do writers still get paid for coming up with this derivative crap? I am sure it is watchable if you have never seen one of these storylines before or you have no boredom filter but really nothing more than an extended criminal minds episode.

Speaking of irrational violence the sight of Monaghan has elicited the same urge to punch him in the face that I had when he first appeared on screen however many years ago, some guys grow into their weirdly annoying faces as they age, he hasn't.

What a lovely condescending post that is. Just coz you didnt like something doesn't mean anyone who did like it needs to be insulted.

I found the series was a bit hit and miss. Dominic Monaghan was frustrating to watch in some scenes, the whole US/Swedish culture clash can be annoying.

Monaghan is atrocious in it. Really miscast. It's trying to be 'Bron'.......unsuccessfully.

I watched 1. Boring, all been done to death, 1 cops last case before he retires, they don't get on, serial killer with Greek classics/ Dante motive...blah, blah

I want to like DM but his accent is very bad & the tough guy role doesn't suit, I kept expecting Hetty Waintrop to pop her head round the door & call him Geoffrey

Hoping for more luck with Stan Lees Lucky Man, though I feel I should have heard of Stan I have heard so many promos for this show since Christmas

Just finished watching it, thought it was a good series overall apart from Monaghan and his terrible attempt at an American accent.

Hopefully a second series is in the pipeline.

There is, it was filmed in November I think and due for release around now in Europe. I'll try and find the article.

Finally caught up with this yesterday. Had a total tv binge and it was great. Now if I had to wait week after week for each episide I don't think I'd have stayed with it. Second series will be in NY I'm guessing (that was the cityscape at the end?). It was creepy enough the flower in the bouquet at the end.
Must add Stockholm to the ever growing list of cities my children will never be allowed move to! ;-)
