    I've remained on job seekers while making a claim for carers allowance. I've also submitted a letter from my doc stating that I cannot return to work as I need to remain at home. My question is today I received letters from the DSP asking me to apply for CE schemes. My dilemma is how I could apply for work once I can only be available for work less than 15 to receive carers. Can anyone advise me?

    Apply for the CE schemes it dose not mean that you will get one.

    My wife has been working 5 hours a day, 5 days per week since September but her job is coming to a finish. Previous to this, she had been out of work for 2 years and also on maternity leave. The social welfare office said that she is entilted to nothing as they go back to last year to calculate,which she didnt work. Is this true. Many thanks.

    She's not entitled to any benefit but she might be entitled to allowance
    How much do you earn?
