Iphone 4s stuck in recovery mode

    Hi all,

    Just wondering if anyone has come across this before. I currently have an iPhone 4s and after changing the battery, something that sounded like a good idea at the time, the iPhone, was put into recovery mode as the the factory reset failed due to having no phone service, but wifi.
    Does anyone know if there is anything that can be done?

    When I changed the battery, the phone did operate and was in working condition, only had wifi and no phone signal, but when I did the restore the phone just stayed there.

    I also brought it to a store who explained that it's now a hardware issue.

    Any advice would kindly be appreciated.
