Class 2 Medical Issue of Cert

    Hi there,

I had my medical done in September, but was referred to a specialist to get the all clear on one thing. After that the specialist got on to my AME and said all was ok for it to be issued.

The way I understand it is that the AME fills in the information on the "AMS" and the IAA has a look to make sure everything is in order, and they post out a certificate.

Would this be correct, or should I contact my AME for a copy.

    Thanks in advance,

    James

I got my Class II printed on the day by the Doctor. Get in touch with the AME.

Your AME posts the certificate to you and sends the relevant info to IAA. IAA has no other role in this, they don't issue the certificate, they don't verify it, they just keep the records.

You should contact your AME, as you need your certificate on hand to do solo flying (I assume you are a student)
