I've recently been looking for a new phone as the screen cracked on my htc one m7 after 2+ years of constant drops! I'm interested in phones from china, particularly the xiaomi, oppo and letv phones! My only worry is if these devices will be compatible with the 4g networks in Ireland (I'm with meteor and dont want to change because I just signed a 6-month contract for a sim-only plan). Meteor lists their frequencies as 800 and 1800MHz but very few of the chinese phones appear to support the 800MHz frequency band. How much will this impact on general data usage on the phone?! will the 4g coverage be patchy and interrupted? I live in dublin city centre if that makes any difference?! Any feedback would be gratefully appreciated!

Cheers man, the website says they are supported but as I pointed in the original post out most of these are only listing the 1800mhz frequency, does not having the 800Mhz frequency band make any difference?

Oppos european models are compatible with all the bands Three use, the china models may not be.

Having partial support may mean you only get 4G in some areas and not others.
