    Hi All,

I'm badly in need of some help and searching the earth for somebody that can remove an Immobiliser. I was stitched up with this car a about two years ago but it only works when it wants to. The car wll start and then the Immobiliser will kick in and kill the Engine. This happens every so often.

Skoda won't take the Immobiliser off and they are using the excuse the can't because of Insurnace reasons. Any garage I go to say it's impossible but I found a Polish guy who said he can take any Immobiliser off once it's not an Italian make- (marelli immobilizer)

And guess what make mine is? Marelli! So if anybody knows a guy please let me know :(

    Skoda Octavia 1.4 2007

It will effect your insurance alright. You can get around the immobilizer in most instances as for a remote start kit you'll need to have it disabled or bypassed, so I'd do a quick search on if a remote start kit is possible for that Saab model (I've only ever seen Mitsubishi and Toyota fit outs but I'll look when I have time)

Given that its cutting out its likely faulty and could be a simple fix, you'd probably be better off having the immobilizer fixed or troubleshot. If the car is stolen and its found to be removed, you'll likely be voiding your policy unless you tell your insurance company.

It could be as simple as a transponder pick-up.

A half decent auto electrician will be able to diagnose this and to see if the signal quality/quantity is as it should be.

    A quick google found this:

Apparently a known fault of intermittent immobiliser.

Just send your cluster to them to fix.
