Poured 75mm concrete screed 40 days ago. Turned on ufh after 40 days at low heat. Is that ok?

Also screed guy said not to use dehumidifier now. I am concerned at the mould that is building up in parts of the build. Is he being over cautious after 40 days?

It will take twice as long in the winter, if there is mold building up inside you need to have doors and windows open for as long as possible....

if the dehumidifier is set to low it wont harm the screed: if its too aggressive with RH down at 40 or 30 yes it will harm it you need to get the RH down to about 70%, its at close to 90 or so now so it will never dry.

u can put kit on a timer on for an hour off for 2 etc

I'd say 'no' and have the tiling to prove it......... 1mm per day, and this time (for me) it would not be enough.........my screed was done in a December as well...........

As for mould: ventilate. Open every door & window.

I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Is this a "no" to ufh being used to dry screed, or a "no" to dehumidifier use? Or both?!

Sorry - it's a"no" to using UFH to dry the screed. That'll only propogate cracking.

Dehumidifier on low. Agressive is too much as well.
