Hi, I am looking to hire a car for approximately the above period, size wise nothing hectic a mid sized car.... ideally diesel and not looking to pay a bomb either.... anyone have any suggestions? Some positive or negative feedback?

Or ideas on where I could potentially start with a decent quote, a load of companies ask you to fill in big long online forms, iv done a couple but been bombarded with sales calls. I am looking for a decent ball park figure to start with and see if it is worth my while...

    thanks

I'd guess you get 15+vat a day so 5 grand to rent for 6 months

Might want to re-check your calculation.

    15 * 30 = 450 * 6 = €2700 for 6 months ex VAT......

Would buying something cheap, to get you around be an option ?
Something that you could easily sell on for what you paid, or possibly more !

Free motoring for a few months, bar running costs & insurance etc.

Makes sense in my head ! :p

have an 02 gt tdi golf, running like a bee to be fair, test is up, needs about 900 of work to get her through it.... 220k miles, timing belt due in another 20k miles.... dont know if the juice is worth the squeeze....!

i do decent mileage so was hoping to lease something pretty economical, cheap with maintenance, tyres possibly even tp insurance included!

    thanks for suggestion though! :)
