A couple of questions on this:

Is this an an event that anyone can attend and is payment/registration required? Couldn't see any info on Teagasc site.

For any one that's been before, is it worthwhile attending?

they'll probably talk about the economics of store lambs, increasing ewe BW and silage quality at the hill one. and talk about late preg nutrition + lamness at the others

    just my guesses

I've haven't been to one, but have been to the athenry open day a few times, they don't charge for that and anyone can go along , so couldn't really see them charging for this conference.

    The agenda looks good.

But which bright spark in Teagasc arranged a conference when lambing is on??

Why can't these events be held in October, November, early December when the workload on sheep farms is minimal!!!

They were alright there was a woman on about the genetic gain and improvements
And the effect of stocking rate and prolificacy on profit
It's worth going to if you have the time. It'll be online after it anyway but if you have any questions to ask you should go

We had the welsh couple that morning, Iwas impressed by them, they started on a very run down farm and planning a new shed for 6 - 700 ewes, and had to buy 1000ton of lime to even get the PH up on the farm and rented land, and fence every bit of the boundaries. They're farming five years on 145acre plus ninety acres rented, so it's relevant to Ireland.
    They started five years ago.
The conference had the facility to text your questions and I think it attracted a lot more questions, there was 350 people at it which was very good considering it wasn't a stap event
