Hi guys recently passed an exam and was awarded a certificate from acca , anyways I'm now qualified in the foundations of accountancy , double entry , spreadsheets, cost classification , etc .. I have a crap cv haven't worked in 3 years and very little references , last job was fast food but anyways in my cv do I list my qualification first with what I learned in bullet points ? I'm also still studying acca going into the next qualification fingers crossed

I'd list experience/employment history first then qualifications.

So it's ok to list all the modules I learned too ?

Well no. If they all ended up in one award, then just list the award?

E.g. I have an ISO qualification, so I just list ISO practitioner certified on my c.v.

You sound like you have a one page c.v. list your experience and qualifications and be succinct.

Ok so we're will I list what I have learned under ? It a ju at if I only list my qualification maybe employers will overlook it, I'm just terrified I 'll never get looked at over poor references

You shouldn't put references on your c.v. Would your qualification not be enough for employers to know what it is? Are you looking for accounting related jobs?

+1 on the references. Just a 'references available on request will do'

Haven't been employed in 3+ years so really hoping to get any job that's not fast food although more than anything I would like an entry level office job , it's just been so long since I have even been called for an interview so bit nervous about making my cv look just right , I always thought taut no mention of references would been thrown straight away

The problem with references are that they aren't fool proof, plus giving a bad reference can be tantamount to slander, so there's a legal risk there too.

Focus on getting good, appropriate!! experience on your CV. Research the job and make sure that your CV screams that you're a good candidate for it.
Be relaxed at the interview, and make sure you do some web searching for examples of interview questions and answers. Also, its quite interesting for the interviewer, if you can ask him or her some good questions.

If you are applying to companies that require the ACCA, they will know what modules are studied. So do not put them on the CV. Only put something that will make you stand out. For example, if you got an award for highest in the class, or in Ireland, or whatever.

Put your qualifications at the top of the CV, before the employment history. It is up to you to put the things you want to prioritise higher up so the recruiter sees them first.
