80gb video ipod

Hi All, I have an 80gb video ipod. Great little machine when it worked. All functions appear to be working fine accept for the sound. When I connect it to tv, I see the picture but no sound. If I connect headphones/speakers, still no joy. I would love to get it working again if any one can help me. Thanks
