Sixt, Hertz, Firefly or other for under 25 Car Rental in France?

Hello, I recently came back from holiday in France and it was so amazing that I want to go again except this time I am planning to rent a car. (In February)

I am aware all companies charge 25-30 Euro per day for under 25 year olds for car rental but I am okay with that.

What car rental companies have you used before and can someone recommend which is better? (I am renting car first time).

What are average deposit amounts for Economy/Compact cars?

Any tips how to drive/adjust to right side of the road and left hand side steering wheel?

    Thanks.

Deposits are savage for under 25s. 3 day car rental out of Heathrow recently required a deposit of almost €1000 with Green Motion.

The terms and conditions are generally vague as well. Be prepared to shell out

I'm 22 and have found Europcar to be fair. Once you read the T&C there's no hidden charges. I pay the online price and then the young driver surcharge when I get there. Say no to everything else too.

    What about deposit?

    Oh, that's reasonable.
I have 1500 Put aside for Deposit as I heard before Hertz and few others charge a lot, but 200 Eur sounds a bit too good to be true.

Called Hertz to ask about rough deposit estimate.
Got put on hold, after 35 minutes of waiting I gave up.

Europcar told me it will be around 500-600 Deposit, so I will most likely go with them.

    Whoever comes across this thread:

I had to cancel Europcar booking as today I found out they don't accept debit cards for deposits.
I went with Avis rental company. They accept debit cards for deposit and will hold fixed amount of 600 Euro (Regardless if you are over or under 25)
