Hi guys. I'm considering getting a new telly to accompany the soundbar I got in your blackfriday sales.

I'd love to get something that's 4k but also with a freesat tuner and ideally recordable by adding a USB drive.
Any options that dont break the bank altogether?
    Is this combo even available?

    Hi Conar.

There are a few ways of doing this.

There are the screens which are freesat certified which give the full EPG's.
Like the Samung UE55JU7500 priced up 1769.99 Euro
    http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-201235-ue55ju7500.aspx

There are a few cheaper if you can make the trip and collect from the Belfast store.

You could also go for one of the screen that have a sat tuner but not the freesat logo. They give all the same channels but run into issue with the EGP and the EPG information.

Sony offer the excellent 55X8509 priced at 1299.99 Euro (Inc Delivery and our 6 year guarantee)
    http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-201404-bravia-kd55x8509cbu.aspx

Sony will also do the do USB record as of March 2016.

Any questions drop me a post.

    Hi Kenny

    Thanks for getting back.
The Sony is about as expensive as I could go, maybe even a bit too high but I'd need to either have full freesat guide support with record function on the tv, or enough left to buy a freesat pvr. Also I'm reading awful things about the software which is unfortunate as I'd imagine it would be right up my street.
I'm moving away from a windows media center setup with satellite tuners so I'd need a full workable freesat system with guide.

It will probably be quite a while before I could make it to Belfast but wouldn't ruler it out.
What are the cheaper alternatives you alluded to?

    Hi Conar.

I've just had a double check and there does not seem to be anything cheaper than the Sony at the moment that will do freesat.

The is the Samsung 55JU7000 but its coming in at around 1699.99 Euro
    http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-201232-ue55ju7000.aspx

There are a few 50" screens if a drop in size is possible?

I may be going to make your day :)

I've just reduced the Samsung UE55JU7000 to €1569 including shipping AND a 6 year warranty.

I've opened it to click to buy as well but stock is really tight so I wouldn't expect them to last long at that price!

    You can grab one here:

Thanks again and keep me posted if I can assist in any way,

Sorry I somehow missed your last post.
I actually went ahead and ordered a 55ju6800 from powercity but cancelled it because they were messing me around a bit about delivery.

    Are you guys stocking these?
If so do you also do the 50 and 60's?
How does the ips panel on the 55 compare with the VA panel on the other 2 sides?
Is HDR fully implemented or is it some bastardised implementation?
Is there any light bleeding as it woukd drive me nuts.
Finally whats the delivered to ireland price? (I can pay in sterling if it saves me)

Feel free to pm me and sorry for the load of questions.

Hi Conar, sorry but these now are a finished line for us, and we wouldn't be able to get one for you.
We do have the 60" version available, but stock is quite low on it also - http://www.richersounds.ie/p-201549-ue60ju6800.aspx at £1399 or €1979

    Thanks
    Brian

    Thanks Brian.
It's a bit rich for my blood.
I think at this stage I might be best off waiting a few months to see if anything comes in atound the £1000 mark that supports hdr.

    Hi Slave1.

    Thanks for the update.

I'll have to give it a go on our display model :)
