    Hi
I have completed my fetac level 5 & 6 childcare & education courses.
I am thinking of going back to complete my level 8 in childcare in WIT.
I will be a mature student.

Does anyone know how many years of the course I will need to complete as I have done the level 6 already?

Has anyone any advice on this matter?

    I'd appreciate any feedback.

    Thank you

All of them. If its the 3 year lvl 8 you are talking about you will have to do the 3. That would be a step up from lvl 6 so you wouldnt get any exemption.

Exemptions are given if you already have lvl 8 and you do another lvl 8. Same applies for lvl 7.

It looks like a nice course as you get a lvl 8 in 3 years. Its also down in college street which has handy parking and a short walk from town for lunch and that. Plenty of jobs in that industry aswell so its all good. Hope it works out for you. Also to note is that about 50% of students are now mature in case you weren't aware.
