Thanks to all. DL the Win10 that gives you 30days so will route out and buy a valid key.

Non of those keys ^^^^ are legit

Cheapest is buy a genuine Windows 7 license from the likes of Amazon and use that with genuine Windows 10 media (you can create this for free with the free media creation tool from Microsoft). The latest Windows 10 install media will accept the Windows 7 key during install and should activate after installation.

They are all from people re-selling keys, typically from their own installation or from free keys from Microsoft that are supposed to be for students or for starting enterprises or shared keys from TechNet subs. Or even keys claimed to be "re-used" from windows PCs that were scrapped. None of this can be legally sold or re-sold.

I'm not saying they won't work, they will probably activate no problem. But they are not legit and the OP was looking for legit software...

The reddit thread one looks legit to me

It's not. We've discussed it many times on here. They're illegally resold keys. They will work (probably) but they are not legit.

Think of it like this: a W10 pro license from MS retails for €200, a reddit one is about €40

If you were offered a €50k 161 plated BMW 520d for €10k, do you think it could possibly be legit? :pac:

    MOD some posts deleted.

    Anyway
Retail cost of windows is about twice the cost of an entry level laptop.
It's been that way for years.

In many cases the cheapest way might even be to sell the an old machine and buy a new one. Especially when you remember you can't take an upgrade license with you.

If you can't afford Windows remember Mac users can upgrade for about €30, which is €30 more than it costs to get most BSD/Linux/Ubuntu OS's.
