Were you here for Galway last year?

Is the horse trying or is it not? Who the **** knows. All I know is that there is serious dodgy sh1te going on for that horse to be a 13/8 shot.

Jack Slade fancied by connections in this. Have had a bet at 5s.

What are the chances he's backed into evens or better in the morning, then a big drift before the off and he finishes nowhere. Post race there's either a) a cough, b) slightly lame, or c) a shoe lost in running

    6/4 shot now.

Probably even dough at the off.

I posted that two weeks ago. The two horses I was tipped were Blair Perrone (tipped on here by me) and Tudor City which goes tomorrow. Like I said - who the fcuk knows whether the handbrake is actually off, or whether it's just a bookie benefit.

Whilst that dynamic is ugly and makes things a nightmare for ordinary racing fans, trying to look through the card for Naas tomorrow is a different kind of joke. A treble on ruby and willie in the first 3 races would pay you back just shy of 38 euro off a tenner. You'd nearly be as well of ignoring them and just analysing the betting without markets

You would be very naive to think this will be off a yard tomorrow. It's not their style to go for it first time in a handicap and a horse always needs a sighter in one.
On top of that there was an enquiry into the running of Thai horse in Limerick were it was stated that the horse didn't stay 2m and would need good ground to perform at its best etc etc. they would be making a rod for their own back if this is off tomorrow.
I suggest you lay it now and keep on laying. Easy money.

Willie has the novices sewn up! He has so many that could go for the races that if you are not going to back one of his you may as well stay out of it.

Not sure if you're being smart - but Tudor City won the first time off a handicap mark on the flat. This yard are well capable of sending out winners for the first time in a handicap.

Lads am I missing something very obvious or being stupid here. Did Marakoush win his maiden at Punchestown in heavy ground in 5 minutes 1 from the front

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,681 ✭✭✭BumperD

Soft, 22 secs slower than standard.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,484 ✭✭✭Peintre Celebre

Nearly 30 seconds quicker than the gr.1 novice over the same course and distance at two Punchestown festivals in recent years. 2 seconds slower than Reve de Sivola's win on good That was very impressive

They adore him down at the Fleming yard and will be going in here with no fear but Bellshill's a superstar in the making i think. Forecast could be the order of the day.

He certainly did not. He had two spins in handicaps before he won in Galway.

You can count on one hand the amount of handicap debutants that win in Ireland every year!
This horse won't be off a yard. Will be laying it to lose a 4k.

Tony is well capable of it but rarely if ever does it. there's a reason most get a spin in a handicap!!

Forget Flemings stable for a while. He had everything ready to run for its life from Aug/sep onwards and his horses are starting to disapoint now as a result.

They have aimed a few at the xmas/new year period, this boy being 1.

Spoke well about the first there on ATR and it romped home

I've backed Marakoush at 13.5. Trying to get a price on w/o Shaneshill

I read the rp result and it says slow by 22 seconds. I am reading that wrong.
Comparison above is very good. Might make it a good race today. Barry Connell was just on ATR and tipped up his first winner. He has a few good ones out today ( not that I am backing any).

    Plumpton abandoned?

That track was like a mire in the last race.

With all due respects to You Francie Barret there does not seem to be anything unduly untoward about the market here , the layers have put in the jolly short purely because of The Trainers reputation with horse seemingly on a lowly handicap mark , 6-4 initially became 2-1 , then trimmed a bit mainly due to 5-1 NR plus 2 others at 20-1 , and perhaps some money , looks a lay esp if You can get him in short !

Have been watching the betting on this one. He's an uneasy fav, interesting to see how he fares

Radio commentary said it would have won but for a mistake at the last...sounds more lucky than easy.

But i didn't see the race so maybe commentator wrong

Tudor City was definitely going for it today without a doubt. Made a horlicks of the last which probably cost him. I didn't have a cent on him btw.

Good to see them do their money on Tudor City couldnt happen to a more rancid stable, same with White Arm the other day.

The other animal won easier than the gap suggests i think, Jockey never threw the kitchen sink at him, always confident he'd hold off Tudor city

Nice double for Alan Fleming. His horses are in flying form

Was waiting 2 years for White Arm. They thought he had so much in hand he rode it 10 wide all the way. Wil be rated 130+ by seasons end.
Tudor was well beaten. Winner won far easier than winning margin suggested.

Pushed the horse in far too close to the last fence and lost all his rhythm too.
The horse didn't need his "help" at that stage.

I passed an ashen faced Tony in the bar at Naas after the race- safe to say he was trying today alright

Cheers on Zee bridle that's two winners you've given the last couple of days fair play!
