Doing a MARP/SFS form for a couple who are in jamb with their mortgage:
SW not an area I know much about.
I have the max payment math done as follows:
he earns >100 and < 400/week so using half the QC
    €188.00 Her
    €124.80 QA
    €14.90 QC
    €14.90 QC
    €14.90 QC
    €357.50 Sum: Max payment

I have his wewekly wages, less 60 euro and then take 60% of it as a deduction from the Max payment above.

How often is the above reviewed, he is currently on 20 hrs a week, being offered 30 from next week so when will SW need to know?
    Thanks, as always

As soon as he has a payslip showing 30 hours she needs to send SW a copy so they can adjust her payment
If she doesn't then they will owe the excess to the department when the overpayment is eventually discovered and they will have to pay it back possibly at 15% of their rate per week

You should do a calculation there to see if they would be better of under the following circumstances:
    He applies for FIS
This would mean that she was no longer claiming for him as her QA
So, re means test his wages as if her DA claim was just for her and the kids
Then, add his net wages + her new DA payment and deduct from the FIS rate 2016 for 3 kids. 60% of the difference is their FIS payment per week
    So, they will have
    €x wages (his) +
    €x DA. (hers)+
    € xFIS. (His)

Thanks again: am looking at FIS now for the first time but I do know what you mean.
SW may well have done this, I want get my questions tighter first based on some understanding as they are like a pair of ostriches at times, not blaming them but it don't help:)

    Ps
is the FIS done annually in Sept: thats what they told me just now

I'm sorry I don't understand your post at all
SW would not apply for a payment on somebody's behalf
I don't know what you mean by "questions tighter "
    Who are ostriches?
Who told you FIS is renewed annulally in September?
FIS can be applied for and awarded any month
Are this couple currently in receipt of FIS?
When someone is awarded FIS it remains in place for 12 months from that date unless certain precise circumstances change
After 12 months it is reviewed and possibly renewed for a further 12 months
If you have been engaged to professionally help this couple or are simply trying to assist them as a family member or friend, you need to get proper one on one advice
It's very difficult to give you information on these forums
You can go to your local CIC on Monday if the couple give you Authority to Act and get free and confidential and impartial advice
Bring all and any documents relevant

4: the couple: bin the correspondence from lender, unopened.
5:6:, They did when I called them this afternoon; now clear on process

10: I do a bit of MARP SFS work but had not come across FIS before.
11: Agreed but your first reply was exactly what I needed.
12: Thanks, my neighbour works in the local CIC so will explore ideas with her.

Thanks again and sorry for the poorly written post.

The current basis of the Dis A payment is
her PA plus 3 kids at half rate so 232.70

Does that imply no means test for his wages:
they just got an increased FIS based on his reduced hours from the last time so wonder is there no means test for her 232.70: is that in effect the Dis A plus QC by 3 fully means tested?
    Thanks again
