Did you buy too much of anything over Christmas?

Looking into my fridge we have 2 bags of unused sprouts and 2 bags of lettuce as well as a pack of parsnips we really should use today. However, what we are planning to cook doesnt really use these ingredients.

On the booze side, we didnt buy a huge amount but seemed to have got that right.

    Anyone else overstock on stuff?

I bought enormous quantities of cheese. Now you might say you can never have enough of the stuff, but there was an awful lot of cheese.

Brussels sprouts. 1 bag was 1 bag too much.

    Nope.
I bought just the right amount.
Could have done with some cocktail sausages or things like that, for the evening nibbling sessions.

Sprouts are a stange thing, I really enjoy them when I get them at Xmas, but don't eat them any other time of the year.

On past experience some people bought me bottles of vodka and whiskey, but I've been off the gargle since November 16th ~ so I've a few bottles of over.

I'll bring them into work on Monday morning and give 'em to the lads.
