    hi everyone,

Anyone in a similar boat looking to make new friends in Wicklow? I live in Trooperstown which is near Roundwood, Laragh, Moneystown, Rathdrum. Looking to meet new people and make friends in the local areas. I am a 31 year old female and a mother of an 18 month old girl.

My interests include art, literature and education. I like going for walks, swimming and I enjoy socialising.

I am originally from north Dublin so the move has been a huge change. I would really love to meet new people and make friends and links. I am also interested in joining local groups and or doing evening classes with friends. Looking forward to hearing from you!
    Cheers!

Have you looked at meetup.com for local groups?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Hi, I live near to Rathdrum, have 2 children (age 8) and similar interests to you. I like cinema, reading, art. Moved to Ireland nearly 3 years ago, work in Dublin but not every day. Don't have any info on groups etc as I'm struggling to meet new people myself but am always up for a coffee/chat. It can be difficult when you are in a new area. Give me a shout if you are still looking to get out and about.

I used to run, and for some reason still run, Dublin City boards beers, maybe I could run something for Wicklow some day if anyone fancies it? Because we have less transport etc a beers would be less suitable. Maybe a walk, coffee or a spot of geocaching (ahem).

Hi budgese that would be a great idea!! Sorry for the delay I haven't been too well so was away from my email.

How do we go about it? There doesn't seem to be much interest in this thread though :/

We live in Roundwood, we have two girls. My wife shares your interest (she's an artist and she works in an art centre), and I'm the "long walks" person in the family. We can exchange our contact details in private. :)

It depends on who you would be looking for. We are still in Roundwood, just in case.:)
