Just wondering if there's anywhere in the midlands where you can try out discus. No previous sporting background aged 36, but trying to get fit and looking for something to train for, always liked discus
    Any help appreciated
    Many thanks

Great to see someone with an interest in field events they can be few and far between in later life but plenty of clubs are crying out for throwers.

Best advice I can give is get in contact with the clubs in your area and see whether there are throwers or coaches for you to learn from.

Cross reference clubs in your area with running tracks around Ireland (See below). Most of the time clubs with tracks tend to be more rounded in terms of catering for all disciplines while others might be small clubs focused mostly on distance running more often than not.

If you are having no luck after this get in contact with your RDO. These should be able to help put you in touch with someone to get you on your way

    Best of luck with it

Cheers thanks for that, will contact local groups and see. Think most of them are running groups but sure will give them a try.
    Many thanks
