    Starting from the bottom:
I use neoprene boots (warm and dry) with good soles
    Good thick absorption socks

I tend to ware a heavy trouser (see link http://www.sportsden.ie/percussion-rambouillet-tapered-hunting-trousers.html) all season for both water/wind proofing and keeping the thorns at bay. When the weather gets colder I'll use a pair of thermal sports underware especially if we're standing around decoying.

Tops are dependent on weather, I generally use a shooting vest so I layer stuff under that:a wicking layer of some sort, light to heavy fleaces / shirts and or wind proof jackets.
I don't regulate heat well so I've gone for tops with under arm zips and combination zip button closures to help ventilation or retention of heat. I've owned some good quality breathable jackets but to be honest if your going to sweat your going to sweat no matter what.

I've gotten into the habbit of carrying a selection of hats, scarfs (heavy and light) and gloves in my wardrobe, sorry meant car to suit.

Most importantly after the comfort aspect ensure you can still mount your gun properly. It's not as cut and dry as people make out. As you may be decoying August / September pigeon over stubble whareing a light top and 3 months latter shooting ducks dropping into frosty marshes.

I would also get a pair of wax chaps , protect your trousers from briars , getting wet.

Decent socks and boots. There's nothing worse than uncomfortable feet.
