Diet when whitening

I have PolaNight 16% whitening gel, which I used initially about 5 months ago in a tray overnight for 9 nights - but when whitening you're told not to eat foods that can stain the teeth, which I could have done better at.

Essentially, you're only meant to eat 'white' foods (which there aren't that many of) - but, considering whitening takes about 2 weeks, it is really hard to find enough of a variety of 'white' foods that will last you that long, before your diet ends up lapsing.

What kind of 'white' foods/meals are there, that are good to eat when whitening? Some I can think of offhand:
    - Eggs without yolk
    - White Bread
    - White Fish
    - White chocolate (maybe not the best though)
    - Chicken (plain/unseasoned, or e.g. mixed with mayonnaise)
    - White rice
    - White wine

This is something, but still obviously not a lot - so after a couple of weeks, you get really sick of the restricted diet.

I did a two week overnight whitening about 5 years ago, I think the brand of gel (in little syringes) may have been opalesance (I will double check) and diet was not a factor at all. It was never mentioned by the dentist and I didn't change anything other than an unpleasant two week routine of having a mold in my mouth each night! The results were amazing, I did very little top ups and got about 3 years out of it, if not more.

i ask people to avoid heavy stainers while whitening, red wine, curries, black tea/coffee etc, but that list is extreme.
where's the fun in eating egg whites? eat the egg, it'll do you good in the long run.
