Hi, I have a NCT to pass and some of my car parts need to be replaced.

I find most of the car parts sold by retailers are much cheaper than directly going to the garage and let them do the shopping..

So I am wondering if this is possible here that, I just buy the car parts, and let them do the replacements, and I pay for the manual fee? I am quite new to cars so I don't really know how garage works here. If so, is there garage you recommend in Galway? Thanks!

I doubt if a main dealer would like it but the private mechanic who looks after my car prefers me to buy the parts.

Yeah, I think I am looking for reliable private mechanics, do you have any recommendations?

Start by getting a mechanic.
Then ask if they can source parts, if not you will.

A lot of mechanics do not want you to go buy spurious parts that might break and then you blame the mechanic.

Many mechanics named here.
