Should I Defer My Test?

I did my 12 EDT lessons just before Christmas and did my first mock test today. I got 17 grade 2s and 4 grade 3s in about a 12 minute stretch. Most were for observation etc. Generally stuff like indicating when pulling into the side of the road, stuff I should be doing automatically but didn't. I plan on working on this as it's just not good enough.

My test is in 4 weeks and I'm thinking about deferring it. I have a really good instructor so I was also considering doing more lessons with him over the next few weeks and try brush up on my bad points.

Is it possible to go from such a score to actually passing the test within four weeks?

Yes it is. Basic errors like the indicating can easily be ironed out. What were the Grade 3s for?

Sitting the test, even if you fail it, will help you next time, in that you will know the procedure etc..
Give it a bash - if you pass, you pass; if you fail, apply again soon.

Slightly mounted the kerb on the reverse. Cut a corner turning right as I was unprepared. Not sure what the other two were for, we just covered those.

If you have a licensed driver you can practise with regularly, you could fit in a good 20 plus hours easily between now and the test. Add in a couple more 'pre-tests' with your instructor in the last week and you could certainly put yourself in with a good chance.
