What information do you look for on a travel site/blog?

    Hi folks,

I just moved home after six years living in the UK and the Middle East. While I was in Qatar, I wrote a blog about expat life. Now that I'm home, I want to keep it up as a travel blog, focusing on exploring both Ireland and beyond.

I used to write travel articles for a living, which had a very specific format (Top 10 must-dos, flight info, getting around etc). I'm wondering, on a personal blog, would you prefer to see a set format like that, or a more personal one that might give more focus to a quirky restaurant I loved etc?

I like to see top 10 must do's, getting around, ATM charges, transfers to and from airport etc. I've found in the past that when travel bloggers recommend their own favourite quirky restaurant, it can be a bit 'out there'.
I'm heading to Paris soon and got few restaurant recommendations from lonely planet and when I looked at the menus they weren't for me, I like typical Irish food, steak etc
This is just my opinion though, I'm sure loads of people would like something completely different.
