In the EU immos became mandatory in all new cars sold since 1998.

    So, yes, it has.

Yes provided it's not a Japanese import model.

Yes it has one. If you have little stickers on the front windows then you should have a factory fitted alarm too

How do you test for an alarm fitted if I can't see stickers?

The ins co should have known about the imobizer really.

    Thanks for info

Leave the drivers window open, lock the car with remote from outside, wait about 3 minutes, then stick your hand down the drivers side and open the boot release, alarm should go off.

Get in car, lock car with remote, open door from inside.

I would have thought the accord would have an alarm, there's one standard on my civic.

Probably has deadlocks too, just double click the lock button on the remote to activate.

I wouldn't even mention having an alarm. Insurance give a small discount for it but if you forget to put it on and the car is broken into then the insurance company may not cover your loss. Not worth the small discount imo.

Insurance company wouldn't know whether the alarm went off or not though.
Obviously don't say you have one if you don't. On those anyway the alarm comes on when you lock the car.

Depends how much digging an assessor does but if it's factory fitted then it's bit of a mute point anyway.

Your mixing up home insurance with car insurance.
