Best roofing material for high winds?

    So with all this weather going on it got me thinking about roofing materials and what’s best for Irish weather.

    About four years ago we had a storm pass thru with 160 kph wind speeds, ripped many asphalt shingles off my roof (they were low quality builder grade) had that roof replaced with a standing seem metal roof that’s certified for sustained wind speeds up to 257 kph and more energy efficient

    So what are you guys using to battle the Irish weather?
