I had a new BB installed by CycleSuperStore a week ago and its creaking already :/ I assume they did not tighten it well enough.

Its the new ultegra type, which is smaller than the old Hollowtech 2 BBs and comes with a plastic adapter for the standard installation tool.

Anyone has one of them handy? Its the one on the bottom right.

    Hey,

I'm thinking it may be your pedals not the bb, there very tidy in the workshop there so I can't see it benign the bb, ill have a look in the shed I think I have a too I can send you but if not just give them a call and I'm sure the will give you one for free also as they come with the bb's, but as I said just check your pedals as I've seen this happen before,

    Cheers zip,

Thanks Zippe, I'll check this tonight but everything was fine until they have faced/chased the BB shell and installed the new BB.

Alanbt - I would be able to cycle to Monkstown early morning on Thursday (before 8am) - is it ok for you? If not then maybe on 2nd or 3rd.

Is there a tool on the market yet with the smaller thread or is using the adaptor the only option

Zippe, can I borrow your crystal ball? Meanwhile I've noticed the left pedal has developed some serious play, I have exchanged them and the creaking has stopped :D
