Just looking for a bit of advice. Can anyone definitively tell me what oil to use on a 07 Volvo s40 2litre diesel. I've heard a few different ones and I'm not sure what go with. Thanks in advance!

Use the oil selector here

Alternatively look in your manual for the minimum oil specs and ask you motor factor for an oil that meets or exceeds those standards.

There's cheap oil in Halfords at the moment 4 litres for €15, it may suit your car.

Depends on whether you have a particulate filter (DPF) in the exhaust. If you do, the specification is ACEA C3, and more than likely the viscosity is 5w30 (or maybe 5w40). If you don't have a particulate filter you can use a specification like ACEA A3/B4 or the C3.
