Twist the four pins to loosen the fan, lift it out, disconnect the fan connector

Lift the wee handle beside the CPU

Lift the CPU out by top and bottom edges

    Done

Don't forget to clean the Tim on the CPU with 99% iso-propanol so when you reseat it, you can apply new thermal paste.

After taking out the CPU you should carefully replace the CPU socket cover on the motherboard so the pins in the socket do not get damaged.

A damaged socket could affect a warranty claim.
