    Hi,

Bought this in HMV Dundrum today. There were three left in the elevated section of the store.
The 10 movies are actually two packs of 5 and definitely not to everyone's taste! However you're getting 10 movies for €5 each and a free player with some smart functions.
Haven't tried yet, might be terrible interface ...

TBH I wouldn't pay €5 for all 10 of those movies, but €50 for a Sony player is decent enough.

Xtravison have the bluray player for 50€ on its own so good deal if you get a few movies you'd enjoy from it

Is it WIFI enabled or do you need wired connection to use Netflix, Youtube etc?

No wifi or possibility to add wifi as far as I can see.
    Only has the following ports:
    • 12v power in (from separate laptop style power supply included)
    • HDMI out
    • Coaxial SPDIF audio out
    • Ethernet

OK, finally got a chance to connect up today. Have to say I'm impressed, the 'smart' functions work well. Tried the following:
    - YouTube
    - Amazon Prime (through VPN)
    - Netflix
    - BBC iPlayer (through VPN)

All launched quickly. Netflix app supports profiles too. YouTube is standard smart tv type. Both Netflix and YouTube look identical to Amazon Fire TV interface; browsing and launching movies was quick.

Network wise the setup allows DNS, IP address etc. to be manually configured to easily use a VPN.
Blu-ray playback was quick, understandably much quicker to start than my current 4 year old Sony player.
Interface was thumbnail type, thankfully Sony have moved away from 'crossbar'/XMB interface. Icons can be chosen for quick launch screen from app drawer, bit like Android.
Player itself is tiny! About 50% bigger than a 5.25" PC DVD/Blu-Ray drive. Quiet in operation. Although the power supply is separate it is quite small and in-line type so doesn't block a neighbouring power socket on the wall or power strip.

Needed a DVD player for the folks so picked this up. You won't get a branded DVD player let alone blu ray cheaper - add in the smart functionality and it is a real bargain. Some of the DVDs around that price don't even have HDMI ports. Lovely and compact.

Movies ok, not exactly an Oscar winning collection, more like movies that nobody would buy unless they were free/bundled. There is a horror collection also with Mamma, Oiuja, The purge 1 & 2 and As above so below.
