Long Cable Issue

Hi , hope someone can help me.
I have a cable close to 20 m long which breaks up or no signal at all for saorview. Tvs on shorter runs no problem.
The setup as I see based on my limited knowledge is a masthead amp on aerial. In loft psu and then a feed into 4 way splitter for various tv points.
The saorview signal strength is 50% but quality 100% on shorter runs.
My question is how to boost long run. Is using a booster going to work ?
Something like SLx-27822HSG-Output-Signal-Booster ( can't post links) before splitter ??
    Thanks in advance

10 metres isn't a long run, by any means.

The signal must be already poor before the splitter, or there's something wrong with the 'long' cable, like it's full of water or has a nail through it or something.

How long is the cable between masthead amp. & loft? Do you know what kind of state it is in?

    Thurston, thanks for reply.

Sorry it's 20 metres. Ill edit original post. I added this run myself so it's good and I bought webro wf100 cable

Masthead amp on aerial is just above location in loft of splitter so close.
As said previous about 50% signal, this is what humax box tells me.

Well, if the system was originally set up to cope with a 4-way split + the losses in reasonable length cable (wouldn't be a problem in 20m of good quality cable like WF100), you'd like to think a decent extra margin would have been built in too, so something in the meantime must have caused a drop-off in signal levels arriving at the splitter, & that's what I'd be trying to get to the bottom of.

There's nothing wrong though with adding another amplifier, & seeing how things go.

Will have a go. Booster costs 10 pounds on Amazon so no big deal.
    Thanks for advice
