    Hi all,

My mate urgently needs an affidavit drafted and is finding it hard to find a solicitor/commissioner for oaths open who can help her (I know it's Christmas, please no smart comments)
She's got 10 days from 21 Dec to provide an Affidavit (I presume they're not including public holiday days like Xmas and new year)
Can anyone tell me of a solicitor/commissioner for oaths open in Dublin who can draft an affidavit for her?? Thanks!

Any solicitor can. Today is a public holiday but most businesses open tomorrow

I wouldn't be making that presumption unless it is clearly stated.

Pretty unchristian for the court to give her only 10 days from the 21st decemeber to get an affidavit sworn!

Over the holidays, I passed the doors of at least two solicitors, and they all had signed up about reopening on Jan 4th, but Galway might be different from Dublin.

Most legal offices in the West close from just before Christmas until after NYD. Some may have staff in work on EOY or urgent matters

Some will be available for urgent matters e.g. wills, Garda custody matters.

Drafting a routine affidavit would not be regarded as urgent. Your own solicitor should be able to arrange an extension of time for filing the affidavit

    The 3rd is a Sunday I think
