    Hi
I'm planning a trip with OH end of January.
I was thinking of Algarve but as I've never been there i'm wondering would people recommend it for January.
If anyone has been there this time of year, how did you find it? quiet, busy, too cold etc. are there any decent day trips in the area.

also for some reason my girlfriend is concerned there would a cold wind blowing in from the sea this time of year so it would be chilly??!! :) is there reason to worry.

    many thanks.

The temperatures are usually around 12-16 degrees which is cold and it is likely to be windy.

It certainly won't be as cold as Ireland, but if you looking for serious heat, laying out by the pool weather in January, the Canaries is your best bet.

Ive been there in Feb and it was gloriously sunny but the sea was chilly.
It will not be buzzing and might seem a little empty but Albufeira itself
will buzz a little with old folk.
