These stations apparently vanished from the aunt's list some time ago. I'm trying to get them back without success. I rescanned several times, deleted old ones that were blank and have searched here and on Google for a relevant solution .
I'm afraid to factory reset in case I muck up everything else. The TV is a non Saorview Sharp, but other compliant TVs in the house are working fine, so the aerial is OK AFAIK. She gets her terrestrial signal from Holywell Hill, if that has a bearing.
Any other (simple) solution would be appreciated. I came across a thread on Boards that implied a problem with MUX 2 - all I can say is I'm flumMUXed, as it means nothing to me and I've no idea how to do anything else. The channels are definitely not at the end of the All Channels list, BTW.

Thanks. Not sure I'm in the right place. Went to Installation, Terrestrial Manual Scan and Channel 33. Search yielded No program found. How or where do I adjust aerial from the box?

I went to Aerial adjustment and selected Channel 33. The signal intensity is 0% and the signal quality is 10%. I don't see any option there to adjust anything?

check the coax into the back of the box and when tuning adjust the tuning parameters in the manual settings

have you the latest 2.18b8( 2 year old) firmware installed

There will be cable & connections unique to the troublesome TV point. Trouble might just be where the cable is plugged into the box, as was mentioned already.

It's just a signal display to aid in aerial positioning.

The only box setting that would have any effect on the aerial system is 'antenna power', if present. This can be used to power an amplifier, but it seems unlikely your system would have been relying on it.

I've checked the aerial lead into the box and it seems fine. Rte 2, TV3, TG4 all work OK. No idea how to 'adjust the tuning parameters in the manual settings', or even where this is.
The latest firmware isn't installed. The version installed is V2.17B3. Would this make a difference with this problem?

May have to check the cable that connects to the aerial in the attic so - much as I loathe to admit it, that's a job for a more nimble person than me or the aunt 😊

might be worth installing the 2.18.b8 patched software

go to manual terestrial tuning and go on channel 33

then change to search via frequncy instead of channel and change the bandwith from 7 to 8

Oh was dispatched to the attic to check connections and one is dodgy alright, he thinks, though he 'plugged it out and in again,' 😊. Tried a rescan afterwards and the missing stations appeared but no picture and only scratchy illegible sound. My betting is that it's faulty and needs to be replaced.
I tried the frequency change, but no joy. I will try the firmware upgrade next. This is a steep learning curve for me.
Thank you all so much for the continued help.

Your problem is caused by a physical defect with the aerial system, manual tuning & firmware updates are a waste of time.

Concentrate on that dodgy connection, assuming of course that it's relevant to the TV point in question ...

Sorted. Thanks for all the help. Cable end nearest the aerial was loose and the other end needed a fix. Strange that only 3 channels were affected with so much wrong.

Almost certainly those on the other multiplex were affected too, but with digital, you don't see the effects until it's near the point of total failure, unlike the old analogue system.
