TV highlights? - December 2015 (UK and Irish channels)

I'm not as up to speed on what was shown on UK and Irish TV channels this year (no Christmas RTÉ Guide, I'm afraid) but will be trying to retroactively make that right, via the BBC iPlayer, 4oD, RTÉ Player and so on. What have been some of the highlights on TV this December? I am looking forward to Charlie Brooker's 2015…

Really enjoying Dickensien on the BBC, they do this type of period drama so well and the Dad's Army drama about the origins of the show was excellent . Avoided the Irish channels as I knew there would be rubbish on it, Mrs Browns Boys (urgh)
