Re-entry visa question

    Hi folks,

I'm a United States citizen currently residing in Ireland on a Stamp 1, under a Critical Skills work permit. I've registered with the GNIB and received my registration card and gotten the stamp on my passport.

I'm trying to figure out whether I need to have a re-entry visa in order to take a short trip out of Ireland. The US is NOT on the list of visa-required countries, but I haven't been able to find anything that definitively states whether that only applies to 90-day short-stay tourist visits or if that is still the case if I'm actually residing in Ireland under a Stamp 1. I emailed INIS a couple weeks ago to ask, but haven't heard back from them yet.

As a US national, would I be able to leave Ireland and return without a re-entry visa? If so, what documentation would the immigration official need to see upon my return? Would they just need to see my GNIB registration card and passport, or would I need to show my work permit, bank statements, etc. again like a first-time arrival?

I appreciate any advice y'all might be able to offer! :)

You don't need anything. Your passport with the Stamp 1 and GNIB card are fine.

As long as your visa to work HERE is in date. I see no problem
