    Hi,
Looking for advice on what is the best small car. I'm looking at Clio, Astra, Corsa, Peugeot 308. I only do about 10K a year so will go with a petrol engine. I have a budget of 11K and a trade in for 2K. I want air con and as many gadgets as possible on this budget. Out of the above what do you think is the overall best car? Apologies I know very little (nothing about cars). I want something that is small looks nice and doesn't give me any trouble.
    Cheers,
    Slick.

Not all the cars you picked are small cars. The Peugeot 308 and Opel Astra are medium size cars and quiet big so leave them two out. They are in the same class as the Ford Focus and VW Golf. The Peugeot 207, Citroen C3, Seat Ibiza and Skoda Fabia are some other options you could look at. They are all small cars. You can get smaller again do.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

I drive a 207 at the moment. I've briefly driven the astra before and didn't feel like it was much bigger. I've been looking on line at bill griffin and charles hurst, carland and N4 car sales. Has anyone bought from these places? Is there room for negotiation with the car supermarkets?

Out of those, Charles hurst is the only one id deal with, and in the class of car you're after, I'm not sure they'd have much value for you.

What do you make of any of these? Good buy's? These are the type of car I'm looking at? Most don't have air con (maybe I should live without it). Does it really matter if its diesel or petrol?

    What about a Kia Rio:

Stay away from diesel cars if your not doing the proper driving for one.
