Hi I was talking to a few friends of mine over Christmas about tv options , and my friends said the dream box is way to go. he told me he gets all sky sport and all sky movies, Bt sport setanta free of charge ,just to connect to internet. Is this too good to be true .I just want to know the pros and cons or getting this box.

The M8 is an android box ( a dreambox is completely different) .Once you have a good internet connection then the worlds your oyster.;)

Why do these threads always end up in the satellite forum and never the android forum ?

Not really but discussion of "free" subscription sports/movie channels is against the rules.

Because id say the majority of people who ask dont realise you need the Internet to use android box. They just hear TV and presume it's by more conventional means and I would hazard a guess some people who sells these boxes fail to inform the buyer this either.

The amount of people I get asking about these boxes and not actually knowing the set up or what's required is staggering. There also seems to be a good few people who think Freesat/FTA is illegal and that Sky/UPC are the only means of watching TV yet they believe streaming via android is OK. :D

But, but, but..... everyone has teething issues. We were all beginners once. You have to appreciate that not everyone who starts a thread or posts in a thread is expert at the subject of the thread.

Oh I know that I'm not giving out about anyone asking questions I'm just saying some people don't have a clue when buying or what their options are and some of the sellers and installers dont have much of a clue either.

I'm all for helping people out I just dislike the people who try convince people that a certain product will do certain things when in fact it may do it but it will do so in an inferior way.
