Any sign where it's coming in? Check that all the seals around the boot are free from dirt and debris, somethimes old leaves and dirt block them up and there's nowhere for the water to go except in to the boot. Perhaps add strong screenwash in the washer and spray the rear to see if it's screenwash or rainwater coming in.

More than likely rear light clusters (their seals actually).

Take all the carpets and panelling out of the boot, dust talcum powder over the inside of the boot, enlist a helper and get them to play a hose over the boot area while you sit in the boot with a torch and see where its coming in.
The talc will show any trails of water that are too small to see.

It's usually the seals on the passenger side light cluster that's at fault, but the rubber seal on the boot is also a common complaint.

I had that problem. Turns out it was coming in through the light. Fixed the seal and no problems.since.

Out of curiosity why the passenger side light cluster and not the driver side?

The vents which are behind the side panels are also a notorious leak point. You need to remove the bumper to get at them to seal the properly. If you remove the covers for accessing the bulbs and the jack cover you might be able to see where the water has been leaking in by looking for rusted lines in the paint work.

My wife's 10 Aurus had the same problem, it was the vents in her case. Took off the rear bumper, sealed around the vents on both sides and it's been dry since.

No idea. Saw a few on warranty years back when the Auris came out and IIRC they were all passenger side for whatever reason.

Well, this is a coincidence.... I just let about 2 gallons of water out of the spare wheel well of my 2012 Auris Hybrid yesterday and have all the boot stuff in the house drying out.
It seems to be a common issue alright and everything either points to the left rear light cluster or the vents in that area. I have not had a chance to take a good look as the weather has been absolute pants but I plan on getting in there as soon as weather permits.
I only went to take a look because the inside of the car was so full of condensation I thought it was raining.... I could be raising freshwater salmon in the car with the amount of water in the boot!!
