So many people like to walk into the sea or ocean near their coast on new years day. If you are doing it - where will yours be? Will I see you down there on the day? Not sure yet if I am doing cork or Sligo but will keep you informed. Hope to see some of you down there!

My landlord swims in the sea twice a day when the evenings are longer, mornings only during these dark months. He's 85.

Away with you now trying to be the hard man!

Are there any of those flat things with lines on them nearby?

Have set myself a goal of doing the forty foot on Christmas Day 2016.

I'm only learning to swim properly at the moment!

I can't see myself doing it in the near future but I'd like to try it one day.
    Might have a bath.

If you're anything over 5'6 then a bath is like sitting in a puddle :(

I didn't say it would be record breaking.

Probably won't as we took it out :D

I might, if it's not stormy.
I usually swim every day from the beginning of March to the end of October - it's the light makes me stop for winter rather than temperatures. I missed the Christmas swim here because it was just too windy and choppy. There's no lifeguards where I swim, so I tend to be cautious.

I'll be getting in on new years day in Cahore, wexford and we'll all head to strand bar for a few beers hopefully no storms that day.

Ah they barely feel anything at that age anyway - unfair advantage :)
