This Charter lists the general guidelines on conduct in the Debating and Public Speaking forum. It is not an exhaustive list and the general rule in this forum is ‘think twice about saying anything you would not say to a room full of your peers at a debating or public speaking competition’.

The charter may be updated at any time. Look for the revision dates in the thread title.

It is the responsibility of the user to be familiar with the charter. We will try to make it as obvious as possible to all users when an update occurs. Ignorance of the charter will not be accepted as an excuse for rule breaking.

    Forum Scope
    1) The discussion of all forms of competitive public speaking or debating formats, including but not limited to British Parliamentary Debate (BP), Policy Debate, Mace Style, Irish Times Style etc.
    2) The Discussion of debating at all levels, from primary/secondary school to inter-varsity and university level ‘open’ competitions.

    Forum Specific Rules
