Hi all, just found out a bit of leak from the rad valve in the bathroom, I am thinking to tight it up though not sure how to remove this valve, can any one shed some light?

    Many thanks

where is it leaking, if its on the side of the rad then you can turn off the valve if its on the bottom then you will need to drain the system or freeze it.

it looks to me like an old rad and valve set. the valve is probably shot and wont close properly .

Thanks the_pen_turner, found some leak along the white cap this morning, this valve is to turn heat on and off, and its on at the minute. Though not to sure how to remove the cap and tighten the valve up. Thank

The cap just pulls up off the valve under is what's called a parking gland it usually can be tightened up if leaking with a spanner if it won't tighten the complete valve needs replacing

Cheers Robbie, managed to pull it up and tighten up the nut, it seems ok now, fingers crossed.
