SAD or Simply Laziness?

How do I differentiate between the two conditions in the title above? (SAD= Seasonal Affective Disorder).

I have a lot of work to be doing but just simply cannot bring myself to do it. I know I'll do fantastic work, I know I'll enjoy it once I get the ball rolling and I know still have time to get a good bit done, but for some reason I'm literally waking up at 4/5/6 pm for the last 3 weeks and spending most of the day in bed on Youtube videos.

I'll need to be putting in circa eight/ nine hours a day to get all the study done. Am I putting too much pressure on myself before I even begin. I have the (unfortunate?) condition of being a perfectionist.

I'm in a degree year so any help would be great. Really can't screw up. I'm really stressing out and it is really getting to me.

Has anyone been in a similar position? Any stories to give me a kick up the arse?

P.S. I've been awake since 5.30 pm last night watching T.B.B Theory and random Youtube videos. Don't celebrate Christmas.

    TIA.

It sounds like you are totally out of a regular routine. If you'd prefer to be getting up at a normal hour start working towards that already. Maybe by making appointments in first half of day.
Also try taking vitamin d. I have been taking it regularly this winter and its making a big difference to my energy levels.
