Realistic VRT on 2012 Audi Black Edition

    Hi,

Just wondering has anyone imported an A4 Black Edition and what rate of VRT was applied? There seems to be a lot of contradicting info on the VRT calculator.

Also, if I was to buy a 2012 in January....car may not be 4 years old until the month of registration comes up (but still classed as a 4 yr old car) will I have to pay more for the Black Edition extras?

Any advice appreciated, thanks! One of the figures is 5,200 and others are around 4,700...it's like they're pulling figures out of the sky?

    Thanks!

Revenue vrt website is a rough guide and usually lower than the actual they ask for

The black edition is a standard S-Line with a body kit and lowered suspension.

    Just use the S-Line valuation.

Thanks, I suppose it depends what office you ring for a vrt valuation and who you get talking to.

They don't give out valuations over the phone, that's what the online calculator is for.

Oh right. So I suppose you don't know the exact vrt until you rock up to register it then?

Bit of a stupid system when you see four of the same "sline 143ps" but with totally different figures.

Depressing whatever the figure is. Very expensive number plates.

Ya, but if it saves a few quid then might as well give it a go!
