Medical card query - Ddoc

    Hi,

I applied online for a medical card, it said that I qualify and I was given the form to be signed and stamped by my GP (which will have to wait until he reopens after Christmas.

I may need to go to DDoc later today, I'm just wondering whether I'll have to pay? Or would it be enough to show them the e-mail saying that I qualify?

Also, if I do have to pay, does anyone know how much it is, and if they bump up the rate because it's Christmas?

    Thanks!

Your card will not be activated on the Doctors system yet , so you will need to pay unless receptionist gives you credit .

While you attending the doctor , tell him you have applied for card and ask him for a letter outlining medical issues . Send this letter in with your application .

Thanks, I've managed to avoid it so far. I'm due at my own GP on Tuesday so hopefully will manage to hold out until then!
