I am going to order the Pioneer XDJ-RX in the coming weeks and was wondering what active speakers would be best and that have pretty loud sound.

    My budget is 400/500 euro

    Thanks

Well there all sorts of options.... I looked into this same situation recently and found it hard to find a conclusive answer...

For 450 budjet I arrived at these....

    Pioneer S-DJ80X Active Monitor Speakers

You can buy 2 of them for 450 here... splpro.ie

Or better still... go in and test the speakers in the show room... they are based near Ballymount Road Dublin 12

Also available on thomman.de with free shipping to Ireland

The sound is really good... but not as loud as you might think for the size of them....

With my limited knowledge of this sort of thing I came up with the idea that Active speakers never sound as loud as they look because we are all used to over pushing speakers though an external amp... distorting the sound... but hey, who cares... it's loud.... internal amps do not allow you to do this because the max power of the amp is matched perfectly to the wattage of the speaker... So you can't over crank them....

    Hope this helps..
