Merry Christmas one and all. Will you get a spin in tomorrow or take a rest from the bike and stuff yourself silly?:)

Plan on getting out for a couple of hours alright. I've had the man flu for about 3 weeks now so really need to get out! Feel like I've forgotten how to cycle at this stage! Happy Christmas!

Have not decided yet. If I do it will be my first time it really depends on how I feel.

I have a 128k to do between now and 31 December to reach 4000k. So might have to head rain or shine.

I've done it a couple of times, always find the roads to be disappointingly busy. I'll skip it and go out Stephen's Day this year.

Same here. I always do a few laps of Howth after mass but with a crap forecast and a nice 40k done today I might give it a miss tomorrow. Roads on Christmas Day are annoyingly busy the last few years.

Almost the same here. I've 170km to cycle to reach 4000km. Between working weekends, Christmas party and being sick for a few weeks I've only been out 3 times since October 24th. Still have a bit of a head cold but I'm going out tomorrow. It'll be a short 35km spin but will bring me ever closer to the 4000km mark 😀

I'm in negotiations on wether or not I can bring the bike with me. Apparently there won't be time. There is always time!

I think I'd be shot if I even hinted at going for a spin so that's a 'No' from me.

"Visiting down the country" you say? Sound like the perfect excuse to cycle if you ask me! (More room in the car for kids/presents etc.)

I'm down the country doing Christmas tomorrow with the in laws. Car going down will be half empty. Will be more than full in the way back. I suggested we could fit more in if i
Cycled home. That didn't go down well

A week ago I was offered the opportunity to bring the bike. 2 days ago I was told there would be no room in the car. I wasn't brave enough to suggest bringing my own car also. :pac:

(I may wave goodbye to reaching the 20,000km now - 19,400km at the moment but won't get much in between Monday and Thursday).

I was supposed to get out today but herself didn't get back from town until it was too late. I just said 'Sure don't worry. Nothing you could do about getting delayed. I'll just go for a spin tomorrow instead'. No arguments against yet anyway 😀😀

Going to do 2 hours in the morning weather permitting and if not turbo.

Couldn't bring the bike home for Christmas so there are going to be four bike free days :(:( I also missed my last two group spins due to a fcuked headset the first time and a fcuked freehub the second so only commuting and rollers last couple of weeks. I've gone beyond slightly mental and am heading into full on madness now :pac:
Sheeting a shed with the father is keeping me vaguely sane, but none of that today

Did 10kms around Greystones earlier until I realised I'm a ****ing idiot and went home. Way too wet to be enjoyable.

    Hope you're feeling better :)

My fever only peaked lastnight so only left the house this morning to visit my Late Loving Dads' Grave...
I've no business on a bike for a few more days.

I just did a short hop to the cemetery this morning. 20km round trip, roads were quite busy, the rain was quite icy and cold too. I will be doing Howth tomorrow rain or shine though

Got out for 69km. Was absolutely freezing. Doing 100km with a group tomorrow. Only pity is there won't be any coffee shops open where will be.

Got out for 36km. Garmin battery died after 4.5km so switched to the Strava app on the phone then. It poured rain as usual. Had a great spin though. Managed a few PB's and a top 5 (1st overall 2015)!! It was worth the spin in the rain. Happy Christmas!

Like many others here I brought my mother to my father's grave. I had hoped to do a few km's but tbh I didn't even get the new Aksiums on the winter steed:o
